Churna in Ayurveda (Source: https://wiki.yoga-vidya.de/Churna)

Churnas are herbs and spices in powder form. The preparation of churna is a way of making medicines. The powders used in Ayurveda can be coarse-grained or finely ground, depending on the requirements. For example, there are certain powdered herbal mixtures for the different constitution types: Pitta Churna, Vata Churna and Kapha Churna. A very famous Ayurvedic churna is Triphala, which consists of the powders of the three (Tri) fruits (Phala) Amalaki, Bibhitaka and Haritaki.

For this recipe you will need

1 medium zucchini
5 carrots
500-600 ml of water
100 gr. spelt semolina
1 1/2 tbsp. ghee or clarified butter
depending on constitution type (Pitta, Vata, Kapha) or mixed type
1 tsp. Vata or Pitta churna or 1/2 tsp. Kapha churna
Note: These types of herbal blends are very good to order online
1 tbsp. finely chopped kitchen herbs

Please peel the zucchini and carrots. Roughly grate both vegetables to make strips of about 2.5 cm.
Put the spelt semolina in a pot and add the water. Heat the semolina while stirring gently. As soon as a slight creaminess is achieved, add the ghee (or alternatively the clarified butter) and the grated vegetables. Let everything boil briefly and then swell for at least 5 minutes. Just before serving, the churna and culinary herbs are folded into the porridge. The porridge is enjoyed warm.

Suggested Variation:
For a little variety, other whole grains can be used, e.g. emmer, einkorn, quinoa – also as a mixture.
