A warm milk with honey has always been considered, even here in Europe, as a proven home remedy for sleep problems. Ayurveda also has a tradition of warm milk. The moon milk should primarily support sleep. There are many moon milk recipes. Depending on which ingredients are used, ao can support healing, healthy sleep. Stress is reduced in this way.
At this point, we would like to present our recipe for a moon milk. This aromatic moon milk should be drunk before bedtime. The small amount of honey supports the liver and is immune-boosting, as are the phenols in turmeric and cardamom. Lavender and jasmine calm the mind. Ashwaganha, also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry in this country, gives this moon milk recipe its potent effects. Ashwaganha also strengthens the immune system and also mildly unfolds its sleep-supporting effects. You should drink the moon milk occasionally before bedtime, preferably on very stressful days. Come to rest and avoid chronic stress. Please stay healthy.
Our recipe:
Boil 200 ml of whole milk and stir until frothy, season with a little Himalayan salt, turmeric powder and cardamom powder. Let the frothy milk cool down a bit and then add the other ingredients:
1 tsp. ashwaganda powder
1 tsp untreated honey (i.e. not heated raw)
1/2 tsp dried lavender flowers
1/2 tsp dried jasmine flowers
(Alternatively, you can substitute whole milk for a vegetarian/vegan option, such as: Rice milk, oat milk, soy milk, nut milk, etc.).
Enjoy the lukewarm moon milk sip by sip.
