Dahl or dal are more or less soupy side dishes that have lentils or mung beans as a basic ingredient.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>For this recipe you need<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>about 150 g dried mountain lentils (yellow lentils)<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ghee<br \/>\nabout \u00bd l water<br \/>\na small portion each of carrots, tomatoes and herbs<\/p>\n<p>some Himalayan salt and Ayurveda seasoning<br \/>\n(e.g.: turmeric, ginger, cucurmin, coriander, cardamon)<\/p>\n<h3>Preparation<\/h3>\n<p>The soaking time is very important. The mountain lentils are soaked in plenty of water for about 12 to 14 hours.\u00a0 After that, the water is tipped away.<\/p>\n<p>Boil the mountain lentils for about 1 hour in \u00bd l of water. When they are soft and creamy, they are pureed.
