For this reason, they are slightly better if you need to watch your blood sugar levels. As they ripen, the starch is converted into fructose and glucose. Since fructose can only be broken down in the liver, some unripe fruits, such as green bananas or unripe apricots are better for vitality for liver function recovery. For this reason, you should go for green bananas for this recipe. Bananas, along with avocados, are among the fruits rich in potassium. This is due to serotonin and tryptophan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For this recipe we need<\/strong><br \/>\n3 medium green bananas<br \/>\n2 tbsp. ghee or clarified butter<br \/>\n2 tbsp. chopped pistachios<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp. cumin seeds<br \/>\n1 small amount of grated fresh ginger (approx. 1 tbsp.)<br \/>\n1 tsp. ginger powder<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp. chili flakes<br \/>\n1 tsp. ground turmeric powder<br \/>\n1 tsp. ground cinnamon<br \/>\n\u00bd cup apple juice<br \/>\n1 pinch of salt &#8211; we recommend rock salt (e.g. primal salt or Himalayan salt)<br \/>\n100 ml fresh cream (organic cream)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation<\/strong><br \/>\nPeel the bananas and then cut them into thin slices. Heat ghee (or clarified butter) in a small pot. Roast the chopped pistachios and cumin in it. Add the other spices to the roast. Hold back the salt and about two pinches of cinnamon. Add the bananas and deglaze with the apple juice. Let everything simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes. Add the cream and season with salt. After serving, sprinkle the reserved cinnamon over the curry.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Variation suggestions<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>The pistachios can be replaced very well by coconut strips, walnuts or sliced almonds.
